Buy Printer Ink and Save Money

By Jenny Morrison

Printers gobble up ink. Just so everyone can benefit, here are some suggestions on how to save money on printer ink. Remember to add your own tips and tricks below so others can benefit from your wisdom.

Printer inks are actually sold everywhere, including grocery stores and pharmacies. Check everywhere if you decided that you rather buy the brand name product, because some stores will obviously have the lowest price.

Buying from the company that made your printer usually means high prices but it's also the most convenient. If you want to save, go to an office supply store when they have a sale.

Online is the way to go, but make sure you add shipping in the total before you compare with the brick and mortar prices. Also try to figure out whether you need to pay taxes on it.

Online stores will send out coupons and promotional codes for discounts at their store. Wait for those if you ever want to buy online or you are giving the retailer too much of your money.

When a store wants to put on a sale, printers might be cheaper than buying just the ink. If you want to save, look for these deals and just install the new printer.

If you are only printing documents on standard paper, third-party inks are very economical. They may fade over time, but no worries if you are just printing draft documents.

Many people will buy two printers and use one for document printer and the other for photo printing. This way, you don't waste expensive ink on occasions that don't warrant it.

I don't recommend those printer ink refill bottles because most people spill some when they try to refill and it becomes a very messy process. Do what works for you.

Always look for low prices, but keep convenience and quality in mind. - 30529
